Metal Generation: The Steeler Anthology was released by majestic rock records in 2005 as a compilation album of the US heavy metal band Steeler. The album was co-produced by a former band member, Ron Keel, as he believed there was a public desire for such an album (as he wrote on the album inserts). In the album unreleased, live and single songs were added with a few of the songs of the bands only album Steeler.

Steeler is an album by the band of the same name. It was largely recorded at Prairie Sun Studios in Cotati, California, about fifty miles north of San Francisco. It was the only album released by the band until a 2005 compilation album released by Ron Keel. After the album was released the band broke up. In 1983 Yngwie joined the band Alcatrazz. Ron Keel formed the band Keel.

Cold Day in Hell was originally released as a 45 rpm vinyl single in 1982, with the song Take Her Down as the B-side. It was also featured on the compilation LP Metal Massacre on Metal Blade Records.
